RUTHIE: With more volumes to come, we’re hoping.

Yes, of course. That was Ruthie Bartlett, here to talk with me, Tom, about her Adventures. She tells the stories in the books, and is the STAR of them.

RUTHIE: Well, I don’t know if I’d express it that way. Especially in the story of how The Rhombus started, and in other of the stories,
too, I’m not such a great person sometimes.

You mentioned The Rhombus. That’s you and your friends who share your Adventures.

RUTHIE: Yes! A rhombus, if you’ve had geometry in school, has four sides, and my girlfriends LaTasha, Bethie, and Caitlyn are the other three sides of this group we formed.

And the purpose of your group is what?
X
RUTHIE: We HELP. Anyone who needs help, whenever we happen to meet them, we try and stop and help and, as we say in church, give comfort.
X
And you understand GIVE COMFORT to mean?
X
RUTHIE: Somehow, some way, make these people who aren’t feeing good, feel better. And that’s what the stories are about.
